AMZ Affiliate Bootcamp Review – Is It Worth The Price?

Tung Tran's AMZ Affiliate Bootcamp is the latest in a long line of Amazon affiliate training products. Some of these have been terrible, others have been great.

What you'll learn in this review is which category AMZ Affiliate Bootcamp falls into, and exactly how it can help you, if at all. You'll learn who this product is for, whether it is worth the price, and most importantly, you'll get an inside look from somebody who has had full access (me!).

Full disclaimer, I have met Tung in-person and have followed him closely for several years. We've done business together, and he gave me access to his training area long before I decided to do a review on it. While you may think this makes me biased, I want to point out several things:

1. I know Tung and can vouch for his character.
2. I'm not in the habit of promoting something simply because my friend is the owner. I do have my own reputation to take care of as well.

I think the best way to describe it would be a hybrid between a training course, and a community. In the rapidly-growing forum you have some well structured topics and the general discussion area, and in the training course, you have a well structured and laid out course to follow.

How Well Does The Training And Community Work?

The two aspects complement each other pretty well. After all, a community without focused training to refer to can become just a mass of off-topic posts pretty fast, and a training course without a community to discuss lessons in finer detail can be frustrating.

There is such a wealth of information online concerning Amazon sites, and what stops most people from succeeding is being able to sift through it and come up with a workable strategy. Many people simply never get started at all.

Tung has broken his training down into 8 core modules, which range from an introductory module talking about mindset, to choosing your niche and earning your first dollars, right through to selling your site for big bucks later if you want to.

What's more, and I'm on the fence about this, but the content is also dripped out over time, meaning you can't get overwhelmed and rush ahead, missing out key steps as you go (something many beginners end up doing).

The reason I'm on the fence is because I prefer to let people have access to everything right from the start, and trust that they are capable and responsible enough to progress at their own speed.

However, since the training is a one-time fee, it doesn't really matter if you don't get access to it all immediately. He's not delaying it in order to get you to pay more monthly fees.

At the end of the day, Tung has set it up as such that you will always have something to get on with, and as long as you embrace the training you are on, you'll never be sitting around impatient for the next module.

As for the community, you get out of these things what you put in. The more involved you are, the more you ask questions, the more you learn. That said, if you just want to be a silent lurker and read posts without posting yourself, there will be plenty for you to get on with and follow along.

What About The Content Of The Training?

Let's look at the content in more details, because it's this that is going to make you money after all.

I'm not going to go into detail of every single lesson in each module, but I will walk you through the topics, and the format of the lessons.

In total there are 60 video and text lessons, broken up into 8 modules.

Each module has a different number of lessons, depending on how in-depth it needs to be. For example, module 1 is an introduction and brief lessons about mindset, so you only need 4 lessons. Module 2 on the other hand has 10 lessons.

Each lesson is a mixture of a screencast/slideshow presentation, and a written version to go with it. You've also got some pretty in-depth diagrams and instructions.

So if you're more of a video person, or more of a read and follow pictures person, Tung has you covered.

What I Liked

Tung's Attitude

I loved the fact that Tung takes the time to cover a module about your mindset, something that is often overlooked in affiliate marketing, and was a welcome change.

Tung is definitely a serious marketer, and he's not interested in selling a get-rich-quick product. This is part of the reason why he's priced his content like he has. It keeps the barrier to entry high enough to keep out the people who are going to waste time and dilute the community.

The Actual Content

As for the rest of the training, it is spot-on with what I consider to be best practices for Amazon sites, and I know that if you follow what he does, you'll make money. At the end of the day, that is the end goal with this program.

The Community

Everybody wants to make more money, and be a little less lonely, and that's exactly what you can get with this community/training double-approach. The community grows day by day, and by the time you're reading this, there will be dozens of new members in the doors who are engaging in the community and looking forward to becoming your e-friends.

I know that sounds a bit cheesy, but my own success was largely down to making some great friends in similar communities over the years, and it helps to have someone to discuss things with when you're confused, or just down in the dumps about your progress.

What I Didn't Like

As mentioned above, I didn't like that the content is slow-dripped out, but this is just down to personal preference. If you are like me and don't like that, then my advice would be for you to immerse yourself in the community while waiting for the next module to come out. There are only about 7 days between module 3 and module 4 coming out anyway, so it's not a particularly long wait.

The modules ARE worth the wait, and the value is definitely there, so don't worry about that. While this is a dislike for me, it's not enough of a reason to not buy it.

The Pricing – Is AMZ Affiliate Bootcamp Worth It?

At the time of writing, Tung's course now costs $997, and while this is a lot higher than your average program, I will go ahead and say it is worth it.

Some of those points above really are intangible as well. There are many communities out there which are full of beginners, the blind leading the blind, and general spam. You won't find that in AMZ Affiliate Bootcamp, you'll just find other serious marketers like you. You'll also find Tung and I!

It delivers the content you pay for, and throws in a bonus with the ever-rewarding community. If you're looking for something that will exploit some loophole or give you autopilot income (which doesn't exist), then this probably isn't for you.
