Actually, knowing how to make a website without code isn't difficult. I've been doing it for a while myself.
I'll tell you a secret. I haven't ever made a good website WITH code. I maybe dabbled around in 1999 and made a blank sheet with a bit of HTML on it when I was bored in school. The sites I learned how to build when I first started online business though? No coding required.
I remember telling somebody when I was early on in my online ventures, “Yeah, I make sites and sell them to others, I also teach others how to make sites.”
Their reply? “So how long does it take you to do all the coding?”
My reply was quite simple really. “Uhm..the whole website takes a few hours, depending on the work I'm doing. As for the coding, I don't know code.”
They were more shocked that I didn't know code, than I was that they thought people needed to know code.
How To Make A Website Without Code
This is 2013 already. WordPress has had billions of dollars invested into it. Most of the web uses WordPress now.
You don't need to know code to create a website. You just need to know how to click some buttons and navigate through menus.
That's how simple creating a website is. You log into WordPress (Once your site is set up) and you go to “Pages” then start creating pages and adding content to them.
Things like Fonts and Colors are selected from drop-down menus just like using Word or other Document programs.
Please note, WordPress isn't the only content management system (CMS) that lets you build websites without code, but it is easily the best one to use, so that's what I'm going to go with for the remainder of this article.
Let's take a look at the WordPress dashboard:
When you log in, you'll have all these menus on the left, which are actually pretty easy to navigate and figure out. You could have a simple website up and running in a few hours.
Obviously, it takes skill to learn how to make the website look professional, which is why we sell ready-made sites for you here at HumanProofDesigns.
If you want to learn how to do it yourself, you can do so very easily. Just head over to Wealthy Affiliate to get yourself a free membership account, and follow their training tutorials and videos on how to get yourself started.
They'll even teach you how to make money on a website.
Anyway, back to WordPress.
This entire site that you are on now was built on WordPress, without any coding. I just installed a theme of my choosing, then set about adding content. It was simple.
Click “add new”, then type, type, type.
Click “add media”, then choose some nice images.
Hit “publish”, then voila, my page/post is live.
No longer do amateurs have to put off building a website because they don't want to learn how to do it. Learning is easy.
If you'd like to build a website yourself, but have no idea how to do it, then that Wealthy Affiliate place is easily the best place to learn.
What's more, they'll let you host 2 free websites on their servers as well. FREE.
