Five Figure Niche Site Review – What’s Doug Cunnington’s Program Like?

I’ve known and also been a fan of Doug since 2014, which means writing this review of his Five Figure Niche Site program is naturally going to have me giving it a positive spin, right from the get go.

With that said though, the reason I’m a fan of Doug and his program, is because I know the quality he teaches and I’ve seen how in-depth his course is.

This isn’t some cash grab program that has been put together overnight. It’s based on the learnings of someone who has lived and breathed niche sites for as long as I have.

But you don’t need to just take my word for it. Doug’s given me access to the course so that I can walk you through everything that’s included, and give you an over-the-shoulder look at the kind of training you’ll receive if you sign up to become one of his students.

Let's get started with a broad view of Doug's take on niche site strategy.

Five Figure Niche Site – Overview

Like us at HumanProofDesigns, Doug focuses on making money with affiliate websites. While Amazon isn’t his sole earner, he tends to focus on Amazon sites.

This course will take you through everything from picking a niche, to performing keyword research, to building a site and scaling it up to a site that is worth five figures. In other words, everything you need to understand and succeed with the entire process.

You might be wondering how this differs from our own training and our Amazon course in particular, and the answer is that while many of the things Doug teaches are taught in many other places online too, he also has some unique lessons.

Doug’s always been good at project management and scaling teams, so one area you will benefit from his course is learning how to (largely) automate your own site building and management teams. On top of that, he has some unique keyword research techniques too, such as his KGR method (listen to this podcast to learn more about that).

That's why, even though we have similar methodologies in our courses, Doug brings a different taste to the table that is uniquely built for those looking to add to their arsenal of site building tactics.

Out Of The Box – What Do You Get?

The course includes the following:

  • 7 Modules (released week by week)
  • 5 Bonus Units
  • Private FB Group
  • (Optional Extra) Inner Circle Coaching Calls

I can tell you right now that the content is what matters the most though. Just telling you that you get multiple units and an FB group isn't going to blow you away.

So let's look at what those core modules actually cover:

Note: Depending when you enroll in the course, these dates will vary.

What I like about the course is that it has some built-in “Take action” sections where you aren't exactly “forced” to take action, but your only task for that week will be to do something related to the previous lesson. I like this because, in my experience, it's very easy to put something off and end up not doing it at all.

It's actually the only reason I like the fact Doug drips out his content. Usually I don't like it when people make you wait for the next modules, I prefer to go at my own pace.

However, in some situations, it can get overwhelming if you can see everything at once, and I like how this course is paced. Plus, because Doug only opens enrolment at certain times of year, everyone in the FB group is generally going through the course at the same stage, which keeps the discussions more relevant to everyone.

How Are The Modules Laid Out?

Each module can have anywhere from 3 to 4 lessons, which can take either video or text format, depending on what suits that lesson best. Here's a look at one of those modules on keywords:

It's a straightforward and professionally laid out course, easy to navigate and keep track of your progress. The ability to mark lessons as complete isn't exactly new, but it's still useful to have.

Does What Doug Teaches Work?

At the end of the day, you don't really care how the course is laid out. You just want me to answer this question:

If I buy this course and take action on the lessons, will I make money?

While it's never 100% possible to guarantee anyone will make money, I can tell you that yes, the course will take you down that path. Will you become a millionaire? Certainly not overnight. Will you be able to learn how to make affiliate marketing your full time job so you can work from home? Yes.

Will you learn how to finally succeed with your niche sites, and how to scale that up? Absolutely.

Doug would kill me if I showed you too much from the course, but let's take a look at an example:

It's simple and easy to understand, but it's also thorough. Keyword research and niche selection are some of the hardest parts of succeeding with internet marketing (which is why we provide pre-researched niche sites here), and Doug spends 2 whole units on this. You're not going to rush into a niche that's going to end up a failure, if you follow his lessons.

As for the actual lessons themselves, I know they work because I've followed the same path and had success with my own sites. On top of that, I implemented his KGR keyword research method on some of my own sites, and was impressed with the results.

I've never had such a large amount of page 1 rankings just from adding articles based on KGR keywords before. So in short, Doug's stuff works, and I don't see any reason why you'd fail to make money if you followed his course.

Is It Worth The Price?

The course is no small amount of money, but the value is worth 10x that amount in my opinion. You're learning how to build sites that can make thousands of dollars per month, and you're spending significantly less to learn that? It's worth it.

Sure, you could possibly find a lot of information for less or even for free, but you'd have no way of knowing if it was decent quality, you'd have no help along the way, and you'd not have it laid out in easy to digest lessons.

Trust me, I've been through dozens of courses over the years, and the better organized and higher quality it is, the better my experience is. A premium course is always going to get a better result than a basic or free course.

Besides, the higher entry level means the quality of the Facebook group is much higher than other groups. Generally speaking, people who are willing to invest more, are more serious and will contribute in a positive way to the community.

Consider this an additional benefit though, because the course would be worth the price even without the FB group.

Also, for those of you on a limited budget, there are payment plans available at the moment.

Note: I've not listed the price in this review because it changes from time to time, and I want to keep the review evergreen. Visit the course registration page here to find out the current price.

Final Thoughts

I wouldn't even be writing this review if I didn't think Doug's course was worth it. My time is valuable, and if yours is valuable too, then you will understand why having a structured lesson plan like this will be well worth the money spent.

At the end of the day though, you're paying for the result you want to get, and if you want to learn how to make money from affiliate sites, then this course is a no brainer. You'll learn, and then you'll earn.

  1. I’ve been watching Doug’s livestreams lately, and I can tell that he’s honest and genuine, meaning that he blatantly tell the whole story of affiliate marketing, whether it’s good or bad.
