Wealthy Affiliate Review

weallthy affiliate review

Undoubtedly the best place on the planet (and cyberspace) to learn about making money online, Wealthy Affiliate has a lot to offer. This Wealthy Affiliate review will give you further insight into the place where everybody is learning how to succeed with online business. As a “veteran” member, I talk you through what the pros and cons of the membership are, as well as what you get inside, and what to expect.

Wealthy Affiliate Overview

If you've ever wished there was a training platform that allows you to learn online business from scratch, without having to take a gamble and pay a lot of money up front, and without being exposed to scam after scam, after wallet emptying scam, that platform is Wealthy Affiliate.

The ‘online business community' is actually a lot more than a community. You can build websites and follow step-by-step training along the way. Once you're started, you can continue your training to the next level and really start building your very own business.

Internet Marketing is the best way for people to make money online. It's not a quick fix/get-rich-quick thing by any means, but a realistic way of building up an additional income stream.

The Good & The Bad

The Good:

  • You can join for free. What better way to try out a program to see how it works than to pay nothing?
  • Excellent training. You WILL learn how to build a business, and it won't be false promises or fake products.
  • Constantly improving. You can't learn internet business from a book or a university or it would be out of date by the time you finished it. Wealthy Affiliate gets updated virtually every day.
  • Tools & Support. Not only do you learn HOW to make money with an online business, you get the tools that are needed as well.

The Bad:

  • It's large. It can be a bit daunting when you first arrive and you spend a few days just trying to learn your way around (Kyle and Carson are working on dashboard improvements to fix this).
  • It's addictive. I owe everything I've got online to wealthy affiliate training, but sometimes I just spend too much time there socializing and reading new training. It's a big time sink sometimes!

Who Is Wealthy Affiliate For?

It's such a broad and thriving community that a lot of different people can benefit from it. Let me explain more below:

Beginners – If you know nothing about online business, Internet marketing, affiliate marketing, or anything related to making money online, you NEED Wealthy Affiliate. The training and step-by-step guides alone will get you started, but more importantly self promotion and spam is banned. You won't fall prey to any more scams at WA.

Intermediates – If you've built a few sites before, or have even earned some money online, you can still get something out of WA. Once you've been inside a little while, you'll easily notice that there is nothing else like it online, and the more advanced training will be able to take you to the next level in your own efforts. Besides, you get to network with so many others like you, that you can't fail to benefit.

Advanced – There are some members within WA that are earning tens of thousands of dollars a month, some even more. These members love to keep up to date on the training and Internet community as a whole. What else is great? They provide their own training and insight too.

So it's quite possible that you will become a Wealthy Affiliate member for life, which incidentally is how long your free starter membership lasts.

Tools & Training

You get the ability to build two free websites. These fully functioning sites are powered by WordPress, and a lot of the training (including some written by me) goes into great details at teaching you how to use them.

I've talked a bit about the training already, but I want to go into more details here. What exactly is it that makes the WA training so good?

Firstly, it is organized and structured so that you can easily follow along, complete tasks (and check them off as you go) and ask questions too. You'll get answers very quickly.

Secondly, it is ever changing, and constantly being improved. I know, sounds too good to be true, but that's just the nature of WA. Kyle loves adding new content (I saw him add three training videos alone yesterday) so there's no possibility of you ever running out of things to learn.

Finally, the information itself is top, top, quality. The Internet is so full of misinformation, especially when it comes to online business. Things that worked a few years ago will get your website blacklisted today. Things that some people think work, just don't work at all, and other things people don't bother doing, are super Important.

Every single success I've had online comes from WA training, and if you join too, you'll find that the same is true.

Wealthy Affiliate Support

After the training, support is the next most important part. It wouldn't be possible to write a Wealthy Affiliate review without talking in great length about the support. What I'm going to do though, is just talk a little bit about the support to give you some context, then I'm going to show some examples of what I'm talking about.

When building your sites and your business in general, you'll inevitably run into situations where you have questions, uncertainties, or just need an opinion. At WA you can write blog posts, create discussion or even join in live chat.

Don't underestimate the power of this. The thing that causes most people to fail is inaction, indecision, or lack of guidance.

Being a part of a community rocks!

The starter membership is free and free for life. There is no hidden fee which will start charging your account after a certain period. You don't even need to give anything but an email address to sign up.

There is a second tier available at WA though. If you want to build unlimited websites, research keywords, send private messages, and access some of the more advanced training, then the premium membership might be for you. I've written a separate review of Wealthy Affiliate Premium here.

My Final Opinion

On a personal level, I'll always be grateful to Wealthy Affiliate for helping me finally get some success of my own. If you are somebody who often underachieves, doesn't know how to get started, but desperately wants to, then WA is for you.

I know it's not a perfect platform and you still need to work hard to reach success, but I've never seen anything like this before.

How does it compare with all the other products out there promising solutions for online success? Simple:

Other products and scams promise you can make money while you sleep, with some revolutionary automated system that is just trash.

Wealthy Affiliate just teaches you how to make money online the legitimate way, and the support and training helps you get there.

  1. An interesting and enjoyable read, Bryon. I never got bored or distracted reading your posts, and I always find my way to the end (shhh….that doesn’t always happen when I’m reading other articles). Best of all, you validate what you write here by giving your readers first-hand knowledge and using your own personal experience with the subject matter. Don’t always get that on the Internet. 🙂

  2. Hiya Bryon, yah, I concur… nothing out there these days comes close to consistently meeting my expectations in the realm of online income opportunities. I’ve done the surveys and the click work, combined with a lot of paid content writing and there’s simply nothing available now that comes close to the possibilities that one has here at Wealthy Affiliate. One of the greatest benefits in the community here is being able to hang out with those who have already hung up the 9 to 5 and are comfortably carrying on from the comfort of their home and are willing to show ya’ how they’re doing it! Great review, great encouragement! Thanks Bryon…

    1. Yeah Randy, hands down I would not be where I am today (or where I’ll be in the future), without Wealthy Affiliate. Thanks a lot for stopping by.

  3. Awesome site Bryon and such a thorough review on Wealthy Affiliate you have written. Wealthy Affiliate provides everything needed for success and the best part is, it all comes with one single platform. Just brilliant!

The training is the best I have ever followed and is always kept up to date which is a must if you want success online.

I am starting to see people over at Wealthy Affiliate create full time incomes working online and this is proof that WA does actually work.

    Neil 😀

    1. Hey Neil, thanks for the comment. You summed it up nicely when you said that the proof WA works is in the fact people there are creating a full time business. It’s not just one or two of us, but hundreds and maybe even thousands!

  4. Great Review Bryon, it’s very insightful of the WA program. I’ve been a member for a few months now and have learn’t a lot. The community is very helpful also the courses are really easy to follow and gets you achieving from the first day. would recommend anyone looking for a way to start an online business to check it out 🙂

    1. Hey Tejas, good to see you. Thanks for leaving your thoughts on WA, the more testimonials the better. Glad to see you recommend it too!

    2. Hey Tejas, glad to hear that and thanks for stopping by. Just so you know, you’ll learn even more the longer you spend there 😀

  5. I joined WA while still working full time. It has taught me so much in the small amount of free time I have to work at it. I have made a collection of friends/colleagues who I can lean on when in doubt or troubled with a problem.

They will also critique my posts and offer assistance when required. Where else would you get that kind of support on the internet.

Making money online is tough but it can be done with the correct approach and a bit of graft. I am now making steady increases in revenue and each month I make and surpass new goals.

Ranking No 1 in Google ..done..

    First click through… done

    First sale …done.

First $100 day still to achieve but its coming. 🙂

Great review of an awesome place!

    1. Great to hear about your steady progress there. Do you think it is possible for everyone to earn money while maintaining a full-time job? I know I just about managed it when I first started, and seems like you are managing too!

Still, nice to see some realistic goals for once.

      1. It is possible Bryon as you know, it just takes a bit of grit to get the job done.

There are days when I come home from my day job and just want to curl up on the couch with the missus and watch the TV. Then I remember I have to post this or tweak that or tweet this or pin that. 🙂

It never ends, but as you know also, the dogged work done now will reap rewards in the future. If you are driven and can set a schedule that you can realistically accomplish you will have a chance.

The tools of the trade are available at WA all you have to do take a look.

        1. Nicely said. It’s similar to the expression “A summer body is formed in the winter”. Do the hard work now and enjoy it later on (while everyone else sweats at the gym!).

Tenacity is the key, but obviously you don’t want to be banging your head against a wall. By all means work hard, but work “right” as well. This is exactly why WA is essential.

  6. If you haven’t seen what else is out there, it can be hard to compare the training is in WA to other products. I do a lot of product reviews for “how to make money” or “how to start a business” and Wealthy Affiliate really just blows them out of the water. No where else can you get as honest or fast of an answer to questions you ask. For me, that’s the main value of paying for a membership.

But still, folks will wonder which $19 or $47 product is “better” or has a “secret method” because it sounds easier and cheaper. Unfortunately, this is just a mistake that they are going to have to make.

    1. There are SO many products out there that end with a $7! $147 for this $17 for that, $227 for this…it goes on and on! Luckily WA is free to get started.

Glad to hear you like WA as much as I do. How long have you been a member roughly?

      1. I’ve been a member for about 3 years now. I paid monthly for a while, but am now paying for the yearly membership to cut costs. Also, I just want to remind people that WA is a tax write-off because it’s a business venture, so although you are paying, you are also saving money at tax time.

    2. The thing I really love about WA is the training and the community.

First off the training is a step by step guide into how to build a niche website, how to pull the settings together, how to write posts, how to share them, how to tweak them for better conversion, how to go after affiliate programs, how to build a social network, how to do it all.

If you have a question about marketing in any way there is someone how knows the answer. You can approach people in live chat, you can PM them, you can put up a blog post, you can write a discussion and you can post a comment on training and usually within a few hours someone will have come back to you.

That alone has saved me hours and hours of trolling through the internet searching for answers myself. Then if you find one trying to work out if it will work the way you want.

For me the subscription alone is worth this help and support.

      1. To be fair, the thing I gained the most from WA (aside from all that you just mentioned above), is the things that I DIDN’T KNOW that I needed to know. Just from lingering in live chat or reading that one more training piece before bed, I started off on a whole new direction.

  7. Well Bryon I also have been a member of WA for a while now and I can’t agree more on the fact of the level of help you can get from WA…..they have gotten much better on how they role out their new programs from when I started…showing how they improve and stay up-to-date…..on a constant basis is my experience….

I started without WA and it was a mess…..the best thing about WA and I say it all the time is the honesty in the teaching here….no bull…no get rich schemes….they don’t try to sell you a new product….they add to their teaching and it is all included in the one price….

It is a great learning source for Internet Marketing or online business in general….no matter the niche (what is a niche, they will explain :))…and they do….

Not to say there are no others that do the same…but I tell ya they really seem to be far and few in-between…..

If anyone is wanting to make a go out of a online business I would direct them to WA….not just because I am a member but because it works…

As you mentioned Bryon it takes effort on your part they don’t hold your hand but they lay it out for all to understand….hard work and just a bit of luck make it all work…

Keep passing on the good word Bryon….I think I am going to go fishing…:)

    1. You started out without WA, fair play to you. I for one never would even have started out if it wasn’t for the training there, and now I have a business in full-swing, and a nice income to go alongside it.

It’s a great community and like you say, one of the most honest places on the Internet. Definitely the most honest within the Internet Marketing world (except maybe for here ;))

Enjoy yourself fishing out there lol. It’s getting cold.

  8. Excellent review Bryon and mirrors my thoughts very closely. I’ve been a member since 2009 and don’t see myself ever leaving. The quality of the materials, tools, and support are the best online. I’d hate to think where I’d be in life had I never joined WA. Probably working some dead-end IT job, miserable as someone controls where and what I do for 8 hours per day.

    1. That’s a pretty cynical view of life outside of WA Steve! Then again, I know a lot of people are looking to get out of exactly that type of job; and Wealthy Affiliate can provide that answer. Cheers for stopping by!
